Past Indefinite Tense


Affirmative Sentences

Structure: Subject + v 2 + Object + other words.

Examples:

1. बचपन में लड़कियां मुझे  छेड़ती थी |
Girls teased me in my childhood.

2.मैं पिछले साल इंदौर गया और वहां से किताबें खरीदी|
 I went to Indore last year and I bought the books from there .

3.मैंने चाय बनाई और चाय पिया |
I. made tea and took it.

4.हम लोग महुआ चुनने जाते थे |
We went to pick Mahua .

5.हमारे समय में लड़कियां सलवार  सूट पहनती थी |
Girls wore salwar suit in our time.
Negative Sentences

Structure: Subject + did + not + v1 + object + other words.


Examples:

1.आज मैंने अपने पापा से बात नहीं की|
 I did not talk to my father today.

2.दीक्षा मेरी भावनाओं को नहीं समझती थी |
Diksha did not understand my feelings.

3. प्रवेश बचपन में चिकन नहीं खाता था |
Pravesh did not take chicken in childhood .

4.कविता मुझे जानती नहीं थी |
Kavita did not know me 

5.अनिल समय बर्बाद नहीं करता था |
Anil did not waste time.

Interrogative Sentences

Structure: Did +Subject + v1 + object + other words ?

 1.क्या तुमने इस साल  महाशिवरात्रि मनाई ?
Did you celebrate Mahashivratri this year?

2. क्या तुमने नरेंद्र मोदी से बात की ?
Did you talk to Narendra Modi ?

3.  क्या तुम्हें जुबिन नौटियाल के गीत पसंद थे ? 
Did you like the songs of Jubin Nautiyal?


4.क्या साधु भक्तों को धोखा देता था?
Did the monk cheat his devotees?

5.क्या  अश्वनी बचपन में डेकोरेशन में काम करता था ?
Did Ashwini work in decoration in his childhood?

Interrogative Negative Sentences

Structure: Did +Subject  + not + v1 + object + other words ?

1. क्या रितु बचपन में नाखून नहीं चबाती थी।
Did Ritu not chew nails in childhood?

2. क्याअफसर रिश्वत नहीं लेते थे?
 Did the officer not take bribe?

3.क्या आप लोग शादियों में प्याज नहीं लेते थे ?
did you not take onions in the marriage parties ?

4.क्या नेहा रोज ब्रश नहीं करती थी ?
 Did Neha not brush our teeth everyday?

5. क्या तुम सलमान से दिल्ली में नहीं मिले 
Did you not meet Salman in Delhi?

Wh Interrogative Sentences

Structure: Wh word + Did +Subject  + ( not ) + v1 + object + other words ?

Examples:

1.आप दोनों लड़ते क्यों थे?
 Why did both of you quarrel ?

2.आप 2005 में कहां रहते थे ?
Where did you live in 2005 ?

 3.आप बालाघाट कैसे आए ?
How did you come to Balaghat ?

4.आपको हमारे बारे में किसने बताया ?
Who told you about us?

5. कार्यक्रम कब शुरू हुआ?
 When did the program start?
